Over the past couple of years I have been in serious training and action mode on my internet marketing business. It started 4 or 5 years ago with the thought that someday I wanted to make money on the internet. I didn’t really know what that meant but it sure sounded cool. I signed up for a couple of newsletter subscriptions and spent a little bit of time researching the whole process but still had no idea how it was going to happen. I wish I would have had an internet marketing coach then.
The Beginning
The event that finally put me into action was receiving a newsletter from one of the subscriptions I had signed up for offering a WordPress class. This class was designed in such a way that you were literally going to watch over the shoulder of the instructor as he created an affiliate site using WordPress from the beginning. All the way from the beginning, like he didn’t even know what the website was going to be called. It was fascinating and a whole new world opened up to me during that class. Little did I know he would be my first affiliate marketing coach. The class was phenomenal and exactly what I needed to get me up to speed on building websites and learning some of the basics of affiliate marketing. I soon realized – I needed more … I was hooked … I was going to become an internet marketer and I needed some real time mentoring so I became an Elite Member of the Self Starters Forum.
The Coach
As timing would have it, about the same time I was taking the WordPress class I ran across a very sincere internet marketer that was coming to Atlanta, where I live, for a weekend. I decided I had to go meet her if I was to really be serious about learning to make money online. Enter my next internet marketing coach. When the student is ready the teacher will appear. It was a life changing experience. That was about 2 years ago and since then I have become a student of hers through an outstanding forum she has been running for about a year now. The beauty of the forum is not only do you get weekly webinars where you can participate directly with the instructor to learn affiliate marketing and the psychology of website design to market online but you are also in front of a great community of like minded affiliate marketers motivated to helping you succeed.
The Community
The wide range of topics directly and indirectly focused on learning affiliate marketing are more than worth the monthly fee but the real deal is how the community brainstorms together on projects and questions that not only apply to the task at hand but will certainly be applicable to projects you might be working on as well. You end up having an extensive variety of affiliate marketing coaches.
If there is one thing I have learned up to this point, it is that it can be a very lonely place with just you and your laptop. It’s hard to stay focused on a task with the bombardment of information on the internet and if you spend a lot of time on something that doesn’t work, it is very frustrating. Joining this community solves those issues. There is a monthly challenge that you participate in that is always designed to improve your business and the community as a whole will keep you motivated and on a productive task. If the results aren’t what you thought they should be with a particular landing page or website or whatever, you can put it in front of the community for their assessment and brainstorming ideas to move it in a different direction or tweak it in some way to produce better results.

Are You A Beginner
I still consider myself a beginner and there are a number of members that are truly just starting out. The community is made up of all levels of experience so don’t consider yourself, “too new to join”. Get that out of your head right now. Just the opposite actually, if your new to this incredible world of internet marketing, you need to join and get some direction and coaching.
