You Must Be Found On The Internet

I have been providing offline services to local businesses to help them get better position and visibility on the internet.  Today it is more important than ever to have a searchable presence on the internet as a local business.  You don't even have to have a website and you can still be found or not found on the internet.  The real deal is this, if you don't pay attention to what is going on with your business on the internet, it could hurt you a lot more than help you.  In other words, people are talking about you, hopefully they are saying nice things, and Google and some of the other local listings are doing whatever they can to give people an address and phone number for your business and it is not always the correct one.  It is an important part of being in business in today's world to spend some time and CLAIM your business listing accounts.

The Facts

Here is a fact: The Yellow Pages are really not used anymore to find businesses.  Sure, there are still some people out there that still use the Yellow Pages and Business Listing Phone Book to find places they do business with but they are few and far between.   The majority of people today do not rummage around their kitchen or office in search of the business listings phone book, dust it off and start flipping through that thing in search of a business.  They go straight to their computer or their smart phones and do a Google search and BAM, there is where they make their decision.  On the first page of the search results they get from their Google Search – period – end of story.  You have to be there – on that first page of results, it's a must do.
